Keeping in mind the special developmental needs of the Northeastern states of India, a new scheme, Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East, PM-DevINE, will be implemented through the North-Eastern Council to fund infrastructure and social development projects.

An initial allocation of Rs 1500 crore will enable livelihood activities for youth and women and fill the gaps in various sectors.
