Nearly 1000 SME pharma companies, which accounts for 40% of India’s total drug exports, opposing the move because:
- SME’s contend that they don’t have the money to establish parent-child relationships between strips of drug and their packet
- Adds no value to quality of product
- Conspiracy by larger players
