The resource allocation by centre to the States/UTs is proposed on the basis of population, backwardness and performance of the State/UT

It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme.

It aims to address gaps in health services through supporting efforts of State/UTs for providing AYUSH health services and education in country,
particularly in vulnerable and far-flung areas.
